Instructions on how to cook your Creamy Chicken Chili:
Make sure that your slow cooker is clean!
Before we proceed, it is a good idea to wipe the porcelain part of your slow cooker with a clean piece of cloth in order to get rid of any excess residue and grit that might still be sticking onto it. In doing so, you are going to prevent the sauces and oils of the previous food that was cooked in the slow cooker to interfere with the flavor of your creamy chicken chili. Evidently, it is simply good hygiene to do so anyways!
Make sure that the metal plates of the slow cooker are clean of any residues, too! If any grit and grime is still left within while it is cooking, the moisture might interfere with your slow cooker’s functionality and may potentially damage it.
Step 1:
Arrange the chicken breast cuts onto the bottom part of your slow cooker.
Get the can of cannellini beans and pour the contents in, as well as the corn, black beans and tomatoes over the kitchen in that particular order. Get your ranch dressing and sprinkle it on top, as well as the cumin, chili powder and onion powder.
Lastly on top, place the slab of cream cheese. Turn on your slow cooker, set the dial to “Low” and place the lid back and let it cook. Set an alarm for about six to eight hours. The amount of time may vary upon a couple of factors, such as the amount of chicken, as well as the density and volume of chicken that you are going to cook, so the amount of time states may not be as accurate, so it is advisable that you be vigilant in checking your slow cooker from time to time in order to avoid either undercooking or overcooking your creamy chicken chili.
One way to know if the chicken has been cooked properly is if you prod it with a fork or a knife, it feels soft and tender.
Step 2:
Once the chicken has been cooked, Remove the chicken breast cuts and chop them up into chunks that are bite-sized. Afterwards, place the sliced and diced chicken breasts back into the slow cooker and mix it with the chili thoroughly; ensuring that all bite-sized cuts are covered with the chili so as to spread the flavor and sauce in every nook and cranny of the chicken meat.
