Instructions on how to cook your Ground Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Step 1: Firstly, get the ingredients of the sauce to stir fry. Mix the soy sauce, sriracha, brown sugar and toasted sesame oil in a small bowl and stir vigorously, ensuring that all ingredients within the small bowl are mix thoroughly and properly. Afterwards, put the small bowl aside as you are going to use that later on.

Step 2: Gather the vegetables up in a chopping board and proceed to chop them up in order to have them already prepared when you are going to need them. Get the cabbage and chop it in half. Take the core away and with the first half of the cabbage, chop the leaves finely. If what you have is a tiny cabbage, chop it all up finely while removing the core. This should produce about four to six cups of finely chopped cabbage leaves.

For the carrots, peel them with a fruit or vegetable peeler and grate them using a cheese grater and put the contents onto a bowl.

As for the three green onions, chop them up as well.

For the two cloves of garlic, mince them.

And as for the ginger, peel the outer skin by using a vegetable or fruit peeler or you can alternatively with a spoon, scrape it. Afterwards, get the cheese grater and grate the ginger and put its contents onto a separate saucer or small bowl.

Moving on.

Step 3: Get a wok or large skillet and place it over a stove and light up the fire to around medium. Once the wok or skillet is hot, pour in the neutral cooking oil, garlic, ground beef, a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper and the ginger. Stir and fry the contents until the beef turns brown. This should take more or less five minutes to cook.

Step 4: As for the carrots and cabbage, throw them into the wok or skillet and continue stirring and cooking until you will notice the cabbage is partially wilted. If you prefer, you can continue doing so until the cabbages have fully wilted in the skillet. As for the sauce that you have prepared from Step 1, get it and pour it onto the contents of the skillet as well as the green onions. Drizzle some sesame seeds and sprinkle some Sriracha, then serve.

Conclusion

Overall, the tandem between cabbage and ground beef is quite a match. They go hand in hand in complementing on aspects that either one is lacking; the cabbage filling in the lack of nutritional value that beef has, whilst beef filling in the gap that provides flavour, substance and filling that cabbages severely lack. To bridge the overall gaps between the two are the spices, garnishes and sauce that you are going to incorporate alongside the cabbages and ground beef.

Stir frying ground beef, cabbages and the garnishes it goes with is the most efficient, affordable and convenient way of preparing your food. It only takes around thirty minutes, enough time for you to be able to squeeze it in as a breakfast and lunch meal before you head out for work.

This recipe for cabbage and ground beef covers all the nutritional needs that you are going to need for the day. Cabbages contain a lot of Vitamin K, C and B6, whilst ground beef contains a lot of protein.
